Dr. Zarate-Lopez completed her training in gastroenterology in Barcelona, Spain awarded by the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona Autonoma University. Following gastroenterology training, she was awarded the prestigious Canadian Association of Gastroenterology Clinical fellowship. Her project integrated basic science and clinical research leading to investigation of the pacemakers of the gut and made the core of her PhD in medicine. She then moved to the UK where she continued further training in neurogastroenterology at St Mark’s Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and University College of London. Dr Zarate-Lopez has being a consultant in Neurogastroenterology at UCLH and an Honorary consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2017. She runs a specialist outpatient practice receiving more than 400 referrals per annum, including tertiary and quatertiary referrals. She is the point of referral for adolescents with functional/neurogastro disorders for both Great Ormond Street Hospital and the UCLH adolescent team.

Dr. Noora Alfaraj is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, and Liver Transplantation Specialist at King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. She completed her Saudi Board training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at Western University, London, Ontario, Canada. She is also a recipient of the Area of Focused Competence (AFC) Diploma in Advanced Hepatology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Professor James Lindsay is a renowned consultant gastroenterologist based in London, who specialises in the treatment of digestive issues such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and acid reflux. In his twenty-five years of experience, he has also gained bowel cancer colonoscopy accreditation from the National Screening Centre.

After graduating with a degree in medical sciences from the University of Cambridge, Professor Lindsay went on to qualify from the University of Oxford as a bachelor of medicine as well as surgery. He achieved his PhD in mucosal immunology from Imperial College London in 2002, before completing his fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians in 2008.

Zobair M Younossi MD MPH is the Chairman of the Global NASH/MASH Council, Washington DC and Professor and Chairman of Beatty Liver and Obesity Research, Inova Health System, Falls Church, Virginia.

Dr. Younossi earned his medical degree from University of Rochester (AOA 1989) with fellowship training in at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation (1989-1995), while earning his Master of Public Health with multiple honours from San Diego State University (1995).

He then worked at Cleveland Clinic Foundation before establishing the Beatty Liver and Obesity Research program and Inova Liver Center, Inova Health System, Falls Church, VA. He has served as the Chairman of Department of Medicine, Inova Fairfax (2011-2024), President of Inova Medicine (2019-2024), Chairman of Research for Inova (2005-2022) and Vice Chairman of the Board of Inova Foundation (2011-2024).

He currently serves as the President of Chronic Liver Disease Foundation (2018-Present). Dr. Younossi has pioneered research in MASLD/NAFLD and outcomes research in Liver Disease and has authored over 870 articles, 1143 abstracts and 546 faculty lectures in national and international meetings. He has a Scopus H-index of 127 and is listed as the most cited scholars in Liver Disease and NAFLD according to Scholar GPS-2022 and Scholar GPS-2024. Dr. Younossi has served on the editorial board of several journals, including Co-Editor of Liver International and Associate Editor of J Hepatology.

Dr. Mohammad Albeshir is a consultant Gastroenterologists and Therapeutic Endoscopist at King Fahad specialist hospital in Dammam. He’s the head of gastroenterology section and the director of the Endoscopy unit at King Fahad specialist hospital. He is also the group director of academic affairs and training at Eastern Health Cluster. He is a Canadian and American board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He has an Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy fellowship from Western University. His interest is pancreatic-biliary diseases, Endosonography and interventional Endoscopy.

Dr. Mohammed Alsager, is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Transplant Hepatologist and Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program at Riyadh First Health Cluster. He completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology at Western University in Canada, in addition to research training at George Washington University in the United States. Dr. Mansour Altuwaijri is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist at King Saud University, where he heads the Division of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at King Khalid University Hospital. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of British Columbia, followed by advanced training in inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal ultrasound at the University of Calgary. Dr. Karim Qumosani, MD, FRCPC, is a Professor of Medicine at Western University and Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at London Health Sciences Centre, specializing in hepatology and liver transplantation. He serves as Associate Dean of International Training Partnerships at Western University and leading the Gastroenterology and Adult Hepatology programs. He is Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Saudi Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Transplantation (SASLT), supporting liver research and professional education in Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on autoimmune and cholestatic liver diseases, with significant contributions to the Canadian Network for Autoimmune Liver Disease (CaNAL). His work includes major multicentre studies in autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) examining treatment response and clinical outcomes, as well as research in primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and AIH–PSC overlap. His broader academic interests include liver transplantation, primary biliary cholangitis, and advanced liver disease.

Dr. Ibrahim Al Hosani is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 22 years of clinical experience. He holds German Board qualifications in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His expertise includes gastrointestinal disorders, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Maheeba Abdulla is Consultant of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ibn AlNafees Hospital.Dr Abdulla graduated with honors in general nursing and subsequently completed her degree in Biomedical Sciences and Doctorate of Medicine from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain.
